FLORAL DESIGN I CLASS An introductory class for all students interested in floral design. The Principles and Elements of Design will be covered as they relate to floral design for participants current and future use. In the first class, bow making, shopping for and identifying supplies, flowers and greenery, as well as an understanding of the tools, floral mechanics and containers. The second class will focus on creating a round centerpiece. The third class is creating swags and wreaths. The program is designed to give the beginner/amateur floral designer a well-rounded background and experience from which to enjoy basic execution or to build a career from. A part of class will be spent on supply lists, but the instructor usually prefers to help you select the supplies you need and want. No corsage or bridal work will be covered. Option1: $45.00 Supplies Not Included (3) Sessions Beginners Intermediate Advance FLORAL DESIGN II CLASS An intermediate level class aimed at building ability in floral design. One-sided or triangular shaped designs will be presented as well as other mass forms of composition. Elongated centerpieces, topiaries and larger designs will be accomplished. Corsage work may be included. Option2 : $45.00 Supplies Not Included (3) Sessions Pre-requisite: Floral Design I FLORAL DESIGN III CLASS Build on skills learned in Floral Design I & II. Continue to expand your knowledge with Vertical, Oriental Theory, Free Form and the newest topiary skills. Some classes will touch on European and Vegetative style as well as Parallel Form. Option3: $45.00 Supplies Not Included (3) Sessions Pre-requisite: Basic Floral Design and Floral Design II Permission of Instructor. WEDDING DESIGN WORKSHOP CLASS Learn everything you need to know to create your own bridal floral arrangements! We will begin with bridesmaid bouquets, hair-pieces,the church flowers and bows, then the flower girl's basket and ending with the bride's bouquet. You will learn how to use silk floral, as well as get tips on use of live flowers and greens, or a combination. The instructor has an extensive background in wedding floral design and can show you many beautiful ideas ranging from large to small, formal or informal weddings. Simple and easy to do bows, use of wire edged ribbons, and decorator touches to really set your gifts apart from others. You'll be making some in class to take home. Bring in a sample of the colors of your wallpaper, curtains or pillows and we can select the flowers for your floral creation. They're not just for 'above doors' anymore! During this class, you will become familiar with the various techniques and 'tricks of the trade' for floral swag and spray designs.
