in this site. Drop a note. Let's see what fun stuff we can STIR up!!! We have a new message!!! Scroll down to see who wrote it OUR FIRST MESSAGE!!!!! ***************************************************** I am going to Sutters Friday night! Hope to see some old faces there. Can't make it to the other functions as we might not be in town over the rest of the weekend (in the process of relocating to Massachusetts so it's a little crazy to commit to anything time-wise!) Chris Wagner (Schleiger) ***************************************************** Okay, over 1000 hits on this site and no one has anything to say? Hey, it's not too late to attend this reunion. Just let Sean know and he can include you in the festivities. Elisa ***************************************************** FROM: Scott@Feenix.net So I get a call from my mother last night telling me I am among the missing for a High School Reunion...at first I laughed - I only left the area for a few years after college, my parents still live at the same address and I am in the phone book (page 369 Talking Phone Book - S & D 12205) how am I missing? Then the scary thing settle in ... why a reunion - started counting the years - CRAP - it has been 25 years - I am WAY to young for this. I have not returned for any of my college reunions but will be going to Sutter's - finally curious enough - and I have gone to a few Maginn reunions with my wife and had probably a better time than she did. It is funny to have graduated from one of the largest high schools in it's day but living in Colonie - being very active in CYO Basketball, Travel Bowling, Little League, Girls Softball and now Babe Ruth I NEVER see anyone I went to school with - it is as if our graduating class had vanished or never existed- see CBA and Maginn folks all the time. I see my parents have really enjoyed finding old friends in recent years at their 50th Reunions - now socially more active with these friends - I hope to catch up and reconnect. Scott ******************************************************* I think you've put together a helpful page here. Going by the information, it looks like there are basically two things to shoot for... the Sutter's Mill thing on Friday night, and the Martel's get-together on Saturday night. Nothing at the school itself? Just wondering. Unfortunately, it is looking like the time and expense to get across the country are too much for me and one or two other folks I've talked to. It is enjoyable to see this page and some familiar names. Josh Landess JOSHL1@MAIL.COM would have been class of '83 if I hadn't left. ********************************************************** Hey!! Its me. Oh, its me, Gary Tucker (who??) Well I did graduate w/all of you. I've been at the past reunions and I wouldn't miss this for anything. Hint, still look like my grad picture. See ya! ********************************************************** Gary...I hope you've stayed in shape. I took you on the basketball court then, and I'll take you now 25 years later. So bring your game. And don't worrry about the ball, I still have the ball I took from Sam Tarver after I beat him at our 10 year reunion. It's funny, Sam also said he looked like he did in his high school picture, but it didn't help his game. Chris B PS Who's gonna bring the Advil? ********************************************************* Was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing some golf Sat. before the Dinner. We could play right there at the Capital Hills golf course. I will check into getting tee times, but I would need to know how many ASAP . If your interested you can email me at chiro12901@yahoo.com. Chris Benoit ********************************************************* Chris... What time are you thinking for golf? My Travel Babe Ruth team has a game at noon...if I can get back in time I would be interested in golf. Everything comes full circle - just was thinking of all the baseball we played together growing up - I played at the old Muni all the time as a kid (I played better golf back then as well)- have not been there since the course was redone. My dad still is usually part of one of the first 4's that go out each Saturday. Scott Hungerford ********************************************************** Scott The good old days at Westland Hills. I'll bring a team picture of us when we played on Panasonic. I think your father was one of the coaches. I think it'll be too late after your game. I was thinking we need to tee off by noon time to get back in time for dinner. But come and join us as soon as you get back. Maybe you can get the back nine in. My cell phone is 572-8856, I'll let you know where we are. Chris ********************************************************** Chris, I need to pinch you since you are still dreaming. My game is quite rusty, but I still have that devastating first step. I heard that old ballers play golf now, ask Tracy Baskin. Sam Tarver ********************************************************** Sam Yes...I do remember that first step of yours. I taught you well. Yep, while you were leading the team on the court, I was getting splinters in my ass on the bench. But I enjoyed every minute. You know, if I hadn't hurt my knee that year we played JV ball...what am I thinking, I still would've sat the bench. At least I got to watch our cheerleaders during the game. Man....Sharon and Lisa really knew how to cheer. I look forward to seeing you at the reunion. Chris *********************************************************** Hmmm... how many faces will we see from Mrs. Tobin's 6th grade class this weekend? http://home.nycap.rr.com/ytwokz28/ps19/grade6.jpg copy and paste the above web address in your browser. *********************************************************** I hope that you all enjoy the reunion this weekend. Wish I could be there but had I had a previously scheduled trip. Enjoy. Peter Pishko ppishko@gmail.com *********************************************************** 5-15-08 I am looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday. I don't think I can make Sutters. Chrissy, I am sorry that I am going to miss you, but drop me a line. My email is connell44@juno.com. Melanie *********************************************************** 5-19-08 Oh my gosh!!!! What a great time I had. Thank you Sean/Harlee for all your hard work getting the reunion to be such a success. Maurice P.--Loved seeing and talking to you. Lee P.-- I hope I didn't creep you out with my comments. Frankie M. -- You are awesome!! Everyone looked MARVELOUS. Roseanne Mayer ******************************************************* 5-19-08 CONGRATULATIONS to class of 1983 , I am sorry I missed this event , since I already had plans to be in Denver. Well I decided to shorten this a bit , and let anyone who remembers me that I am doing fantastic in Sunny San Diego , work for Southwest Airlines for many years, still love it , always wanted to travel and see the world , and that has happened over the years. Still have alot of fun memories of Albany High, we had a great class of 83. I hope someday to attend one of these reunions if there is another one. Until then hope everyone continues to have a wonderful life and continued success in all that you do . Take care all , and if you want to say Hello thru email , my email is sohosquare@cox.net cordially John Bagley ********************************************************* 5-19-08 I had a great time seeing some old friends (old in a nice way- not an "old" way!) on Friday night. If Harlee was there, I would have had my 4th grade birthday party friends there- Jill, Stacy, Ellen... what fun! Harlee- you did a great job pulling things together from a distance. Sorry you couldn't make it. I heard that Saturday was really fun too- I wish I could have gone. Hope to keep in touch with some people in the future! You all look great!! but most important, you all still seem like great people! Enjoyed the visit. Chris Wagner (Schleiger) ******************************************************** 5-19-08 Hey ya'll. Its Gary Tucker checking in. WOW! I had a great time. We've aged so well, even after 25 years. I want to know what happened after I left Martel's. Let's make sure this Vegas trip comes together. I start my first tanning session this weekend. If anyone that is still in the Albany wants to get together for cocktails, dinner or whatever, don't hesitate to call. 518-527-1616. God bless and continued health and success. ******************************************************* 5-21-08 Happy Birthday Greetings to Abby from me. It's the 25th Anniversary of our 18th birthday. Remember "I wanna be sedated"....enough said. :) Harlee ******************************************************* 5-21-08 Greetings to the class of '83. Although I didn't attend the reunion, I am pleased to know that you all pulled together a great event and had a good time. The website/message board was a good idea. I still can't believe it's been 25 years since we graduated from Albany High! Best wishes, Joan (McBarnette) Roberts ******************************************************** 06-03-08 Okay, I know people are waiting for pictures but until Harlee figures that out, we need some input. We are still working on 2010 West Coast reunion in Vegas and I have booked a trip this January to scope the "scene" with Harlee. We really need some suggestions for hotels and other interests. We want to make sure we listen to what you have to say before we make some drunken stupor of a decision that lands us in Reno. Elisa Nachamkin elisanachamkin@hotmail.com ********************************************************** 08-15-08 Biagina Lounello here. I didnt know about the reunion, I see Rosanne Mayer was there, Hey kiddo how are you doing. Would love to see and hear from anyone. I work in Albany and live in Delmar. Give me a ring, say hello. 518-505-7211 Biagina Lounello ********************************************************** 09-01-08 Hey all, Sorry I missed the party, I was involved in the mid-planning stages, but then I just stopped getting e-mails, so I thought the party was off. I had planned on coming and was around town just in case I got a last minute e-mail; oh well it wasn't meant to be. It was great to see all the pictures, you all look great....has it really been 25 years? Hope to see you all around town. My e-mail hasn't changed since the original planning stages, cthorn@nycap.rr.com; write me. Bye for now, Colleen Thorn ******************************************************** |
